Swim Gear and Equipment 

ALL swimmers need the following: Practice swimsuits, swim goggles, yoga mat, NDM swim cap, nose clip, kickboard, water bottle, towel, NDM t-shirt. Team store here. NDM t-shirts are available in blue and white).

NDM swim cap may be purchased from a coach, and nose clips may be purchased via our team store (best in bulk) or from a coach.

Recommended items (optional): 

• Arena AG Teams competition backpack: For AG competition team travel, this is our official team bag which comes embroidered with our logo and we highly recommend adding your swimmer's first name. Please note that we're transitioning to a new design, the Arena One Go 45L Bag. 
• Arena parka: This is our official team parka, including the logo embroidered and we highly recommend adding your swimmer's first name. This item is essential for competition travel during the winter months (Feb-Apr), as many pools are outdoors. Youth and Junior AG team swimmers competing at Nationals are required to wear an Arena Team Parka. All other team swimmers may choose between the Arena Team Parka or the cheaper Sporti Comfort Fleeze-Lined Swim Parka Youth. 

Additional tips: 

• Swimsuits:  Blue Arena team swimsuit w/ NDM logo should be purchased via our SwimOutlet team store. Our local partner, American Stitch, can help with printing and embroidery if you need. Plain black swimsuit for figures (any brand), and several practice swimsuits (any brand/color). Black shorts are needed to wear over the swimsuit for dryland practices and general comfort. 

• Polarized Goggles: Several pairs recommended with a backup in the swimmer's bag at all times, swimmer preference for color and make. 

• Nose clips: Swimmers need lots of nose clips, at least 6 in their swim bag at all times. Purchase them in bulk from our team store for the best prices. Coaches can sell individual noseclips as a backup. 

• Swim caps: Arena white NDM logo team cap is available to purchase from your coach. Purchase plain white silicone caps (no logo) and several others (any brand/style) for practices.

• Bags: AG competition teams are recommended to purchase an Arena One Go 45L Backpack, available on SwimOutlet w/ embroidery or your preferred retailer. Embroidery may be done at our local partner American Stitch, who has our designs. We also suggest swimmers purchase a simple mesh bag, which is optimal for poolside use. Various options are available based on your preference, or you may use any bag to transport your items. 

 

Where to get Nevada Desert Mermaid gear?

Every swimmer will receive one complimentary team swim cap when they first join the team. Additional team swim caps ($10) can be purchased from your coach. Nose clips ($3) can also be purchased from your coach individually, but we highly recommend purchasing in bulk via our team store and having multiple as backup in your swim bag.

If SwimOutlet is sold out of your size, feel free to do an online search for other retailers carrying the product. E.g. Arena's online shop carries most items, and local embroideries are available. We recommend contacting American Stitch for any embroidery and logo printing needs, located at 4505 W Hacienda Ave, Suite W, Las Vegas.
